The teething baby

Ladies and gentlemen, we have teeth! I didn't expect that the peeping of these white caps  will be too much of a great deal for me. It makes me want to press the pause button and just savor  Pio's toothless smile for a longer time. Oh please time, slow down a bit for me.

Except for drooling and excessive biting behavior, I think my tootie is breezing through this stage and doesn't seem to struggle with the peeking of those first two whites. It's great he wasn't feverish at the onset of teething which is common during this phase.  Double great because he does not refuse food.

Mommy Tip: If you are a breastfeeding mom, try to express milk in a pacifier cover. Freeze it and offer to a teething baby to reduce the teething pain.  Freezing damp washcloths for your baby to chew on also works wonders!

Dear Pio,

Your transitioning from a gummy grin to a mouthful of gleaming teeth is something that mommy looks forward to. You are doing a great job young man! Keep on biting!

Smell ya later,
Mom

P.S. Tootie has become your alternate name for a while (with variations i.e. tootie frutti, tootie boy). Been calling you yoyo (yowyow) for some time now.
