Over the weekend
We had some really fun September kick-off activities over the weekend. I am just going to post a few photos from what we did last Saturday and Sunday since I have lots of low quality shots. The big boy camera has been on hiatus for the past weeks (and the big daddy too) so forgive the grainy, shaky camera phone shots (All credits go to Instagram for making my lousy shots instantly dramatic).
Saturday was about buffet breakfast (no photo), strolling in the mall, buying our groceries and visiting relatives. Pio screamed to be unbuckled from the stroller multiple times and his independent spirit wins every time. We did a few errands plus car window shopping come Sunday morning with my father-in-law. It was a good way to see him trying to have a renewed perspective of life each day, fighting loneliness and seeking to go back to normal no matter how hard it seems. In this we see that "being there" for him matters a lot.
In the afternoon, we decided to bring the kiddos, Pio and Chantelle outdoor for their first zoo visit. (Not much Chantelle pic unfortunately!) It always feels great to see fascination in the eyes of children when they get to discover new things. I would love to blog more about kids outdoor adventure soon. :)
This weekend as with all other weekends had been great. Being with my family and spending quality time with my brothers, sister-in-law and my lovely niece, Chantelle is more than enough rest. To say that I am always heartsick when Mondays arrive is an understatement but this all the more makes me look forward to the upcoming weekend.
Love, peace and blessings to all,
LA
